(Curvy! Reader x Romano)
Brawls at the all about

I want to take a minute to apologize for my absence on this story but I’ve become relatively busy with school as well as work. College applications are also playing a big part in my absence (I hate them, hate them with a passion. They make you pay $50 to get one, it’s like the lottery you might hit and miss which really pisses me off now that I think about it. Seriously. Fuck. College applications.) I’ve also got to finish night school and trying to pay for the rest of my drivers ed classes but that’s also really expensive like $600 for everything. Sometimes I hate living in America. Everything’s over priced and everyone’s pissed all the time. Lol just kidding.

Please ignore my pointless rant. Anyways, on with the story.

……

Uncomfortable would be a good word to describe how awkward this was, the dinner smelt great, Feli had done a wonderful job on it, the drinks looked good, the bread and other assortments for a fantastic pasta dish were all perfect but….it wasn’t the food that was giving me a bad vibe.

Bright hazel eyes glared harshly into another set of more vibrant ones, the color of fools gold. The tenseness in the room seemed to grow as Romano took another stab at his meatballs before twirling a wad of pasta around his fork. Romulus looked just as pissed, taking a deep bite into his garlic bread. I turned down at my own plate deciding to take a bite of dish.

I spoke too soon.

“Tell me, how are you liking it in Rome?” I placed my fork back down gently before speaking up, my face red with embarrassment as all eyes (plus a glare) made their way onto me.  “I hope this idiot didn’t scare you away.” I smiled warmly before speaking up.

“No that’s not it at all,” yes, yes it is. “It’s lovely here. Thank you for having me.” Romulus seemed to see through my façade but he ignored it and laughed full heartedly.

“Of course, plus we’re in need of more eye candy, all these gruff idiots need to loosen up and behave more like ladies.” I glazed over the table to see a handful of hardened women. All of them seem to take great offense to this because immediately after those words left his mouth all of them stood up and left the room.

“È che una sorta di scherzo?”  Without another word they disappeared one by one. Great, just great. First an asshole who doesn’t know how to keep his thoughts to himself and now an oblivious loudmouth.

“Ladies, ladies, please. I’m sorry!” Romulus quickly chased after the ladies leaving me with about eight other people; most of them seemed to keep to themselves aside from two of them.

“Please excuse tio…he’s…he’s someone you just get used to.” I looked over to a fellow down by the end of the table; he was smiling fiercely while spinning a few noodles around his nearly empty plate. How did..? Never mind.

“Um…thanks for the insight.” I threw a small smile his way; he seemed to take great acceptance to it because he quickly began to introduce himself. He was a young man named Antonio Fernandez Carriedo whom liked to go by Toni. He was originally from Spain until his great uncle, Romulus, asked for his assistance on some…business.  Apparently his grandmother’s older sister was Romulus’ wife. “I’m—“

“I already know, Feli wouldn’t stop singing about your arrival as soon as he found out.” My face turned a vibrant red but I ignored my flushing as soon as I heard the screech of wood against tile.

“I’m done.” We all looked over to Romano who was practically seething with anger, his teeth were grinding against each other and his body was tensed at the seams.

“But fratello I haven’t even brought out the chocolate gelato—“

“I said I’m done.” The door shut loudly behind him but his stomps could be heard up until he’d slammed the front doors. As if a miasma had followed him out the room everyone began to talk gallantly about their day. Life had been blown into the room yet I couldn’t help but feel bad, like this was my fault although it obviously was Romano’s own damn fault.

“He’s always like that, but he’s just a big teddy bear.” Feliciano whispered over to me with a knowing gaze. “I’m sure he’ll warm up to you in the coming weeks.” I grinned smartly before pulling over to him as well.

“Like hell. Not in a million years.”

……

“Are you sure you don’t want to ask her, I’m sure she’d just love to accidentally ‘bump’ you in the face again. Ha, more like a whooper.” A pissed Romano sent a heated glare over to his trainer whom was still cracking jokes about the night before. “You should have seen your face Vargas you looked like a kicked pup!” Tears were beginning to roll down the older mans face as Romano took another punch towards the bean filled bag.

“Shut it you old bastard.” The punches began to speed up as the seconds flew by yet he didn’t seem to be breaking any sweats. “She just got lucky. I may be an ass with you but to the ladies I’m a killer.” This caused the man to fall over onto his back.

“A killer? Are you sure we’re talking about the same Romano? The one who causes girls to want to beat his ass in el ring? She must have knocked a few screws loose.” Romano did a round kick to the punching bag before growling.

“To pretty ragazzas not whales.” This caused the man to go silent.

“Romano…that’s uncalled for.” Romano didn’t seem to care as he took a few swigs of his bottled water. “I’m sure if she was here right now I’d get another free show. Should I tell her?” The young mans eyes bulged out their sockets before he began to choke profusely. “I see you’re scared of her.”

“Hell no, she’s just…. annoying.” The old man only smiled to himself, sure, sure, he was scared all right, scared of her fists.

“Aw Roma! Don’t be that way!” Out of the corner of Romano’s eye stood a lean Spaniard, his hair a vibrant chocolate locks hidden under a helmet of sorts.

“Antonio, how are you!?” The elder cried out happily.

“I came to join the‑“ Out of no where a fist made it’s way to Antonio’s jaw, ultimately forcing him to the ground.

“You can try again next time.” Antonio’s bright green eye didn’t seem to falter as he rose back up, a deep smile pressed into his swollen cheek. “Oh fuck! Go home!” Romano cried aggravated and hands in position.

“But hermano!~ I want to be a boxer too! “ A swig made its way over to him but he quickly dogged it. “I’ll be called El Toro!” Another swift move to the left, this time Romano fell to the ground with a loud crash.

“God dammit stop moving!” Although Romano was very strong he wasn’t the fastest fighter unlike his older cousin who had the agility of a fox.

“You’ll have to try harder~!” Antonio sang out landing on Romano’s slouched over back. “Just let me join!~ I can teach you how to be fast—OAF!” Quickly regaining himself Romano busted a punch square in Antonio’s gut.

“No. Way. In. Hell! LEARN HOW TO FIGHT YOU PANSY!” Scrunching up in grappling pain Antonio squeezed his aching stomach before vomiting up the few tomato’s he’d eaten for breakfast.

“Ugh, not on the mat Carriedo, never on my mats!” The older man cried out before grumbling about dry cleaning and wasted paper. “You can clean that up yourself sport.”

“Oi, I’ll do it, I just want him out of here.” Romano kicked a few wet towels over to the benching Antonio was at this point was whining out in Spanish.

“Oh~ mi cabella….mi hermano… por favor…..no more…” Passing out relatively quickly Romano rolled his eyes.

“Wake up, you’re so over dramatic and it’s annoying.” Romano sighed arrogantly before walking out of the establishment. “I’ll be back sometime this week, don’t wait up.” Grumbling to the falsely accused spainard the old man bent down, smacking the younger man in the face with a wet towel.

“Get the hell out of my boxing ring you smiling idiot.”
